Funlumexa
On the water

Your guide to better lake fishing

Two anglers, one boat, and a method refined through fifteen seasons on the water.

How we started

It began with a single fishing net

Funlumexa started from a small dock on Miller Lake, with a worn fishing net and a notebook full of observations about where bass fishing works best.

The boat is better now and the tackle is ours, but every big catch is still made one angler at a time, by guides who know their rivers and lakes by name.

We take fewer anglers than we could. It keeps the fishing genuine and the reward real.

If a catch leaves the water and we would not keep it ourselves, we throw it back.

Tackle and tackle

Rods, reels and local knowledge

We buy from tackle makers we have fished with, in quantities we can test before each season.

We tie our own flies from salvaged materials and every lure is chosen for the specific freshwater fish in the lakes we fish, rather than bought generic.
